Court Dismisses Arrest Warrant Request For Wheesung Over Suspicions Of Illegal Drug Use

An arrest warrant request for Wheesung has been dismissed by the court.

On April 7, the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency shared that while they had requested an arrest warrant for Wheesung over suspicions of propofol use, the court denied their request. The police plan to decide whether or not they’ll make another request after they complete further investigation. The reason for the denial of the request was not shared.

In relation to the case, the police have arrested one propofol dealer and they’re investigating the source of the propofol. Last December, the police acquired testimony from a drug dealer who said that Wheesung had purchased propofol.

Wheesung has recently been found unconscious twice after taking an anesthetic with similar effects to propofol. As this anesthetic is not an illegal drug, he was questioned by police as a testifier before being released.
