Jang Ki Yong, Jin Se Yeon, And Lee Soo Hyuk Share What To Expect In The 2nd Half Of

The cast of “Born Again” revealed their thoughts on their characters and what’s in store for the second half of the drama!

On May 11, Jang Ki Yong, Jin Se Yeon, and Lee Soo Hyuk participated in an online press conference for their KBS2 Monday-Tuesday drama “Born Again.”

The mystery melodrama revolves around the story of Chun Jong Bum (Jang Ki Yong), Jung Sa Bin (Jin Se Yeon), and Kim Soo Hyuk (Lee Soo Hyuk), whose fates were entangled in their past lives during the 1980s. The three end up in an intense love triangle in the present day.

During the conference, Jin Se Yeon described the male characters, saying, “Chun Jong Bum is a character I’m thankful for, and Kim Soo Hyuk is someone I want to know more about.”

Jang Ki Yong talked about his secretive character Chun Jong Bum. “Even as the person acting the character, Chun Jong Bum is mysterious to me. There are strange things about him that even I can’t predict; he has never drawn when he was young but loves to draw, he has emotional scars when he is with his family, and he becomes more relaxed after he’s named as a suspect of a crime,” he explained. “There might be more sides of him that come out in the later half, so I think you should watch for that.”

Next, Lee Soo Hyuk commented, “The scenes come to life thanks to those who work hard to make the drama visually pleasing and to Jin Se Yeon who is doing an amazing job. I think those who have extra love for the drama are appreciating the love story between Hyung Bin and Ha Eun in the past life part. I’ve seen the positive responses to the video clips, and I’m working hard to film the remaining scenes well.”

The cast elaborated on what to expect in the second half of “Born Again.”

Lee Soo Hyuk said, “I can’t spoil anything about the romance in the last half, but to find out whether or not Kim Soo Hyuk is shaken by Jung Sa Bin, it would be good to keep in mind the line, ‘This is crazy,’ that was shown previously.”

Meanwhile, Jang Ki Yong hinted at the fun in the upcoming episodes. “The drama will start resolving some of the mysteries from now on. The viewers’ curiosity will be quenched, and ‘Born Again’ will be easier and more fun to watch,” he said.

Jin Se Yeon added, “The stories from the past haven’t all been revealed yet. I find it a strength [of the drama] that the mysteries that have been opened up are planned to be resolved later.”

Lastly, Lee Soo Hyuk mentioned that the pace will pick up. “Everyone’s backstory will be featured, and there will be scenes including all the characters. The story will move forward a lot, so I think that will be fun.”

“Born Again” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. KST.
