CIX Shares Their Thoughts On Singing OST For Animated Series "The God Of High School"

CIX will be singing the ED (ending theme) for the animated series “The God of High School!”

“The God of High School” is based on a popular webtoon about a tournament to find the best fighter among the high school students in Korea. The animated series is produced by Crunchyroll, the global animation streaming platform, and MAPPA, the Japanese animation studio behind projects like the final season of “Attack on Titan.”

Ahead of the anime’s premiere, the CIX members shared their thoughts about their OST. BX, Seunghun, and Yonghee recalled fond memories of reading the webtoon with their friends when they were younger. Bae Jinyoung and Hyunsuk explained that the members had gone back and read the series in preparation for the anime.

Seunghun named Jin Mori, the protagonist, as his favorite character, while Hyunsuk picked Jin Tejin. Bae Jinyoung said that their OST “is a great song, easy to sing to, and I vividly remember how much fun we had recording it.” Yonghee and Seunghun added, “We worked hard recording the song and it turned out beautifully” and “Not only is this a fun anime, our song is beautifully uplifting so we hope you love it as much as we do.”

CIX’s ED is titled “WIN” and will be released alongside the anime’s premiere in July. Meanwhile, CIX is preparing to make a comeback on June 30 with “Hello, Strange Time.”
