Stray Kids Takes No. 1 On Oricon's Weekly Singles Chart With Japanese Version Of

Stray Kids topped Oricon’s weekly singles chart!

On June 3, Stray Kids released their first Japanese single “TOP.” According to Oricon on June 9, Stray Kids achieved sales of approximately 37,000 for their Japanese single, placing it at the No. 1 spot on Oricon’s weekly singles chart for June 1 to 7.

Stray Kids is the fourth foreign male artist to top Oricon’s weekly singles chart with their first single following Jang Geun Suk with “Let me cry,” EXO with “Love Me Right ~romantic universe~,” and iKON with “DUMB&DUMBER.”

Furthermore, Stray Kids also topped Japan’s leading CD retailer Tower Records’ overall singles chart for the first week of June.

Previously, Stray Kids topped Oricon’s daily singles chart for June 2, 3, 5, and 6 with the Japanese version of “TOP.” For June 2, the new single ranked the top three places with its different versions for Tower Records’ daily sales chart. Stray Kids also ranked No. 1 on Billboard Japan’s Weekly Singles Sales for June 15.

On May 23, the songs “TOP” and “SLUMP” ranked No. 15 and No. 17 for Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales. On May 30, the songs ranked No. 10 and No. 19 on the same chart, placing them in the top 20 for two consecutive weeks.

“TOP” and “SLUMP” are from the OST for the animation of the popular webtoon “Tower of God.” 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han) participated in the composition, lyrics, and arrangement for the songs, which have been released in Korean, English, and Japanese.

In addition to the Japanese release, Stray Kids is set to make their Korean comeback with their first full album “GO生” (“GO LIVE”) on June 17. The new season of their Mnet reality show titled “Finding SKZ – God Edition” will also premiere on June 24.
