gugudan Celebrates Their 4th Debut Anniversary Together

gugudan is celebrating their fourth year together!

gugudan made their debut on June 28, 2016, with the mini album “Act. 1 The Little Mermaid” and the title track “Wonderland.” Nayoung, Mina, and Kim Sejeong had previously appeared on Mnet’s “Produce 101,” and Mina and Kim Sejeong were still active in the project group I.O.I at the time of gugudan’s debut. The group originally had a nine-member lineup, but Hyeyeon left the group in October 2018.

On June 28, 2020, gugudan held a V Live broadcast with seven members and Haebin’s dog. Sally is currently competing on the Chinese survival program “Produce Camp 2020.”

During the V Live, gugudan thanked their fans, Danjjak (Dear Friend), and said that they had visited some of the events that fans had prepared for their anniversary. The group looked back at moments on their career, such as their subunit debuts and various costumes they wore. The members also shared sweet stories about Sally and asked fans to support her on her show.

In a tweet, the group wrote, “A precious four years that we spent with gugudan and Danjjak! Every day was filled with happiness. Thank you for always sparkling as Danjjak by gugudan’s side. gugudan x Danjjak forever!”

The members also shared individual posts to celebrate their anniversary.

gugudan’s most recent comeback was November 2018 with the mini album “Act. 5 New Action” and title track “Not That Type.” The girl group had two subunits, gugudan 5959 (Mina and Hyeyeon), and gugudan SeMiNa (Kim Sejeong, Mina, and Nayoung). The individual members have also been active as solo singers, actors, and more.
