Jisook Shares Rainbow Members' Reactions To Her Marriage News

Former Rainbow member Jisook sat down for an interview with Sports Chosun to talk about her recent marriage news.

On June 29, Jisook and Lee Doo Hee announced that they were getting married in the season finale of MBC’s “Don’t Be Jealous.”

Jisook said, “I told the Rainbow members in advance that I was getting married. As soon as they heard the news, they started sniffling and tearing up. It was the first time that we’d experienced this feeling. They said something like, ‘Our Jisook is all grown up and getting married’ and we all hugged and had an emotional moment together. Our group chat is full of messages like, ‘I cried again when I saw the broadcast’ and ‘You look happy together.’ The support you get from your family is like no other.”

She added that the show had helped the couple clarify their feelings for each other. “I think it was the greatest luck that we could record these happy memories on video,” she said. “As we filmed for the show, our relationship became stronger and closer. The show set aside time for us to understand each other more deeply. I am grateful to the production staff for approaching and filming us with sincerity and affection.”

Jisook said that the couple were planning to get married in October, although the details have yet to be determined. “Right now, we’re in the stage of starting preparations,” she said. “We want to have fun preparing and make good memories together. Like our parents, we want to live with respect and affection for each other. I think we will live happily by each doing our own work well and enjoying our similar interests.”

She added that she wants to continue communicating with fans. “I want to live a meaningful life by holding the precious support I’ve received in my heart,” she said. “I was able to experience a meaningful moment now because of the people who have sincerely congratulated me and cheered me on. I don’t want to forget the gratitude I feel now. I will become a Jisook who can repay that affection back. I want to thank all the fans who sent in their congratulations from the bottom of my heart. I hope that all of them also experience even greater happiness in future. Thank you again to all the people who have celebrated this with me.”
