Gary, Kim Yo Han, And More To Compete On New tvN Sports Variety Show
On July 21, tvN confirmed with TVDaily that the three stars will appear in the first episode of “Cash Back.” They also clarified that while it’s a one-time guest appearance for now, it’s possible that they could appear again, depending on whether or not they win.
The program is a new large-scale sports variety show that takes place on a set that’s over 1,200 pyeong (42,700 square feet). Three athletes who compete at the national level from six different sports (ice sports, basketball, ssireum (Korean traditional wrestling), gymnastics, water polo, and martial arts) will act as leaders for the games, and the winners will receive a prize.
“Cash Back” first aired as a pilot special in April and received a positive response, so now it’s been developed into a regular program. Kim Sung Joo, who also hosted the pilot, will be taking the MC role for the show along with Boom.
Gary is currently appearing on the KBS family reality show “The Return of Superman” with his son Hao, while former taekwondo athlete Kim Yo Han is gearing up for his debut with the new boy group WEi. Na Tae Joo is an actor, singer, and taekwondo athlete who made the top 14 of the hit competition show “Mister Trot” this year.
“Cash Back” premieres in August.
