Watch: "Running Man" Cast Puts Their Own Spin On (G)I-DLE's Yuqi's Dream Of Riding A Giraffe

On the July 26 episode of SBS’s “Running Man,” Soyou, Weki Meki’s Kim Doyeon, (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi, Lovelyz’s Mijoo, IZ*ONE’s Jang Won Young, and Kim Dong Jun appeared as guests.

At the start of the episode, Yuqi was introduced as this being her first appearance on “Running Man.” She shared that she had always wanted to come on the show and had previously been an MC on the Chinese version.

Yoo Jae Suk said, “Yuqi says that she is fond of giraffes. Do you really like giraffes?” Yuqi affirmed this, and added, “My dream has always been to ride one.”

Ji Suk Jin and Kim Jong Kook did not let this opportunity slide and grabbed Lee Kwang Soo and said, “You can ride this one.” Lee Kwang Soo’s nickname on the show (one of many) is “giraffe” due to his height and long limbs.

Lee Kwang Soo protested, exclaiming, “She wants to ride a real giraffe, so why me?” In the subtitles, the production staff added, “Sometimes the giraffe character comes in useful.” Kim Jong Kook said, “You have to make it realistic, so show her how a giraffe runs first.” Still complaining, Lee Kwang Soo did it.

At the other cast members’ encouragement, Yuqi got on Lee Kwang Soo’s back. Lee Kwang Soo remarked, “She actually got on.” The members gave her a piece of fake grass to “feed” the giraffe as he walked around the square, still complaining.
