More stars have donated to aid those affected by Korea’s ongoing heavy rains and flooding.
With Korea’s rainy season beginning in June, torrential rains have been inundating the country in record amounts. These monsoon rains concentrated in Korea’s central and southern regions have flooded residential areas, caused thousands to evacuate, triggered mudslides, and saw at least six deaths with eight gone missing.
According to the Korea Disaster Relief Association, Kim Yo Han donated 10 million won (approximately $8,424) to help people affected by the flooding.
WINNER’s Kim Jin Woo also pitched in to assist in water damage restoration. It was reported on August 13 that he also donated 10 million won to the same foundation.
Kim Dong Jun also made a donation of 10 million won to MIRAL Welfare Foundation to help out the victims of the flooding. The foundation shared, “On August 12, we received a large donation from someone under the name of Kim Dong Jun, and we found out that it was the celebrity Kim Dong Jun. He didn’t want his donation to be made public, but after much persuasion, he allowed this article to be published in order to spread the culture of sharing.”

The foundation told OSEN, “A little after 11 a.m. on August 12, we received a donation of 100 million won under the name of Gong Ji Cheol (Gong Yoo’s real name).”
