NU’EST’s Minhyun posed for the cover of 1st Look magazine!

During the interview after his pictorial, Minhyun spoke about making his acting debut in the upcoming JTBC drama “Live On” (literal title). He commented, “I was so nervous during our first script reading. I practiced to the point where my script was worn out and I was well-versed, but I was so nervous about the first filming in general. Now, I’m having fun filming and have adapted to being on set.”

In the drama, Minhyun plays Go Eun Taek, who is described as a perfectionist and a know-it-all. Regarding this description, Minhyun shared, “We had a lot more in common that I thought. [Especially] that he is extremely well-organized? I enjoy planning when going on trips or doing any sort of work.”

When asked how he relieves stress, Minhyun answered, “I’m not the type to get stressed easily, but I am watching what I eat these days because of my drama filming. So every night before bed, I watch mukbangs [eating broadcasts]. I really like ramyun. But I can’t eat it often because it causes puffiness. That’s why I typically watch ramyun mukbangs.”

Minhyun was cast by his agency while eating chicken skewers when he was only in middle school. He was asked whether he thinks his younger self would’ve imagined his current self and Minhyun responded, “Although I couldn’t have perfectly predicted my exact self now, deep down, I honestly always had a belief that I would do well. Even after I debuted, always.”

Regarding his secret to venturing from being an idol, to a musical actor, and now a rookie actor, Minhyun commented, “I don’t want to stay in one place. Since I have L.O.Λ.Es (NU’EST’s fans) who wait for me to reach these places, I think I keep trying new things and am able to do well in them. Even when I have worries or am having a hard time, they become the force that allows me to endure and move forward.”
