Watch: Kangnam Shows Off His Home With Wife Lee Sang Hwa + Opens Up About Their Disagreements

Kangnam gave a tour of the newlywed home he shares with his wife, Olympic speed skater Lee Sang Hwa!

On the August 30 episode of SBS’s “My Ugly Duckling,” Kangnam invited Lee Sang Min and Tak Jae Hoon to his home.

As soon as his guests arrived, they expressed amazement at the couple’s wide first floor with its modern interior and cute terrace, where Kangnam shared they like to drink their coffee.

As Kangnam explained that their walls were done with all of Lee Sang Hwa’s favorite colors, Lee Sang Min and Tak Jae Hoon struggled to hide their jealousy as they adjusted to the bright and loving atmosphere of the couple’s home.

Along the stairs to the second floor, Kangnam showed off their wall of photos displaying the timeline of their relationship. The photos captured when they first met on SBS’s “Law of the Jungle,” all the way to their proposal and wedding.

Later, Kangnam shared his concerns regarding his upcoming one-year wedding anniversary. Tak Jae Hoon asked Lee Sang Min what he thought Kangnam should do, and Lee Sang Min hilariously surprised Kangnam by nonchalantly commenting, “Well, I got divorced in a year.” Kangnam explained, “This is a really big deal to us. Your one-year wedding anniversary only comes once in your life.”

In last week’s episode, Kangnam was hanging out with Lee Sang Min, Tak Jae Hoon, and Im Won Hee when they asked whether he and his wife ever fought. At the time, Kangnam glossed over the question by saying that they didn’t.

However, in this week’s episode, Kangnam commented, “After meeting up with you guys [last time], I began having a lot of thoughts. I always say, ‘I’m really happy,’ but within that, there are a couple things that my wife and I don’t agree on.”

After making sure that the two men wouldn’t just take Lee Sang Hwa’s side because they were her fans, Kangnam began to explain, “We really don’t fight.” Tak Jae Hoon interjected, “Can you even argue [with her]?”

Kangnam exclaimed, “Exactly! That’s totally right. I just get scolded. One time, I was in such disbelief because she kept getting mad, so I got up to leave. Then she yelled, ‘Sit!’ so both the dog and I sat down.”

He continued, “We don’t really fight. It feels more like I’m just getting in trouble. Later, if I’m having a hard time, I’ll tell Sang Hwa, and we’ll resolve it. We’re happy. But the general vibe is that I’m getting scolded.”

Lee Sang Min continued to press him for details, asking, “What kinds of things do you think the two of you don’t agree on? You have to talk about this when she’s not here.”

Kangnam hesitantly began, “For example, I used to live in Hawaii, so I like very comfortable clothes. I like wearing just a simple T-shirt and shorts. But Sang Hwa says that she wishes I [dressed] cuter. For T-shirts, [she wants me to wear] ones with Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, stuff like that.”

Tak Jae Hoon jumped in to say, “Then just wear that. Is this really something you need to discuss with us?” Kangnam explained, “I just can’t wear what I want to wear.”

Hearing his concern, Kim Jong Kook‘s mother commented from the studio, “This just means their marriage is very happy.”

Not satisfied with Kangnam’s issue, his two guests asked for another one. Kangnam shared, “When we go to the supermarket and I find something I want to buy, I’ll just casually put it into the cart, but [Sang Hwa] will say that I can’t buy it. She won’t let me get anything.” Lee Sang Min asked, “But if Sang Hwa is telling you not to buy it, isn’t there a reason?” Kangnam replied, “She’ll just make up reasons.”

Tak Jae Hoon then cracked up everyone in the studio by getting upset. Implying that Kangnam’s problems were extremely minor, he commented, “Why are you discussing this with us?” before yelling, “Aren’t you going to turn on the air conditioning?”
