TREASURE Shares Their Feelings About Their Debut, How They First Dreamed Of Being Singers, And More

On August 31, TREASURE held a “LieV” broadcast on V Live with their fans.

It hasn’t even been a month since TREASURE’s highly-anticipated debut with “BOY” on August 7. The group is already planning a comeback with “The First Step: Chapter Two” in September.

Choi Hyun Suk said, “It feels like it’s real when I see articles or comments about us on portal sites.” Jihoon said, “I feel like it’s real when we go on music shows or go to other work events.” But Junkyu added, “It’s hard to believe it’s real because we haven’t been able to see our fans in person.”

TREASURE then shared their memories from their first music show. Jihoon said, “I was so excited. I wanted to see what I looked like on the monitor right away.” Haruto added, “It felt strange to see myself in the music video.”

About their parents’ reaction to their debut, Choi Hyun Suk said, “My younger siblings are like professional critics. They point out everything.” Yoshi said, “My mother told me to be careful about my facial expressions on stage.” Park Jeong Woo said, “My parents are always watching my performances and telling me to work hard.” So Jung Hwan added, “My parents screenshot my performances and send them to me. They compliment me and say that I did well.”

The members shared how they had first dreamed of becoming singers. Yoshi said, “My older sister took me to see a BIGBANG concert when I was young. That was the first time I’d seen someone sing onstage. I felt to the bottom of my heart that these were musicians. I was shocked and wanted to stand on stage myself.”

Junkyu said, “I was lucky to get into YG Entertainment. As I listened to music, my dream of becoming a singer became bigger and bigger, and I was able to make my debut.”

Yoon Jae Hyuk said, “I was in my second year of high school when I was cast by YG Entertainment, but I didn’t go. I wasn’t mentally prepared. A year later, they contacted me again, and I was able to get into the agency.”

Bang Ye Dam said, “My parents also do music, so I’ve been listening to music before I was born. Music came easily to me. I got good results when I went on an audition program, and I was able to enter YG Entertainment.”
