DAWN appeared as a guest on the October 25 episode of SBS Power FM’s “Cultwo Show.”

DAWN recently released his first solo album after joining PSY’s agency, P Nation. About the title track, “DAWNDIDIDAWN,” he said, “I originally had a different song prepared. PSY showed it to me right before the music video shoot, but I rejected it at first. There wasn’t a lot of time to prepare and I didn’t have the confidence to pull it off. But he kept persuading me and it came out.”

He also shared that one of the songs on the album, “Still,” was based on something that had happened with HyunA. He said, “When we argue, I don’t get mad. This makes her even more mad. That’s what I based the song on.”

He continued, “Rather than arguing a lot, I get scolded a lot. She is the type to talk a lot, and I’m the type to listen. I’m not good at multitasking, so I get scolded a lot. My mother also has a macho personality, while my dad is similar to me. He gets scolded by my mom the way that I get scolded by HyunA. It’s a father-son trait.”

DAWN had previously shared how his mother, a belly dancer, had encouraged him to learn dancing. He said, “I’ve tried belly dancing myself. I learned dancing because my mom said she liked people who danced. My dad didn’t join us, but he did the housework. HyunA gets along really well with my mom. They’ve met.”
