BLACKPINK’s "Lovesick Girls" Maintains No. 1 Spot; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2020, October Week 5
BLACKPINK’s “Lovesick Girls” continues to dominate our chart! The song repeats as No. 1 for the third consecutive week, again with a near perfect score. “Lovesick Girls” also has won six music shows so far. Congratulations again to BLACKPINK!
Holding steady at No. 2 is BTS’s English song “Dynamite.”
Four new songs entered the top 10 this week. Entering the chart at No. 3 is SEVENTEEN’s “HOME;RUN,” the title track from their special album “; [Semicolon].” The swing-based track has lyrics that express passion of youth and also provide a comforting message.
MAMAMOO returns to the chart with “Dingga” debuting at No. 5 this week. A pre-release track from MAMAMOO’s new album “TRAVEL,” “Dingga” is a dance song that portrays the boring and lonely lives that people have been experiencing due to social distancing.
Veteran singer Im Chang Jung enters the chart at No. 7 this week with “Love should not be harsh on you,” the title track from his 16th studio album of the same name. It is a trademark Im Chang Jung style ballad that tells a heartbreaking love story.
Debuting at No. 10 is Crush’s “Let Me Go,” a duet with Taeyeon. The title track from his new mini album “with HER,” “Let Me Go” is an R&B style ballad about a breakup that lies ahead.
