AB6IX has returned with their third mini album “SALUTE”!

The group marked their comeback and talked about their new album in an interview released on November 2. Just five months after the release of their second mini album “VIVID,” AB6IX made a dramatic and charismatic transformation for “SALUTE.”

The members spoke about this new concept. Park Woo Jin shared, “We were able to come back five months after our last album and I feel good that we’re able to show off a new performance so soon. I will work hard for these promotions too and not get hurt.” Lee Dae Hwi added, “I’m really looking forward to returning with a new concept. We will make sure to show our fans a refreshing performance.”

The four members of the group each took part in composing a b-side for their new album. When asked about any fun stories throughout their preparations, Jeon Woong answered, “When we recorded ‘Heaven,’ I was so thankful that my members sang it well, just the way I imagined.” Kim Dong Hyun responded, “‘Maybe’ is a song about farewells, so during our recording, I asked the members to sing like someone who had actually gone through a breakup.”

When discussing their title track “SALUTE,” Jeon Woong and Park Woo Jin picked the group choreography with their backup dancers as the main performance point. Jeon Woong explained, “I think the part where we team up with many backup dancers is the main point. I think it’s the point that allows you to watch our performance that much more enjoyably.”

With only two months left in the year, the boys were asked what goals they have, both for their current promotions and for the rest of 2020. Kim Dong Hyun answered, “If it’s possible, I want to see our fans and perform for them before the year ends.” Lee Dae Hwi gave a similar answer, explaining, “I want to seek out both our fans and the public through a variety of performances, including 2020 award shows.”

Jeon Woong shared, “I hope that AB6IX receives more love from the public and that we are able to conclude 2020 well without getting hurt.” Park Woo Jin responded, “My goal for these promotions is for no one to get hurt and to have fun while promoting with my members.”

Lastly, AB6IX discussed their future plans and shared messages to their fans. Jeon Woong said, “Please give our album ‘SALUTE’ lots of love as we worked really hard on it! I hope we can meet in good health!” Park Woo Jin shared, “Our future plans include continuously reaching our goals. I want to meet with our fans for a long, long time while laughing, crying, and having fun together.”

Kim Dong Hyun added, “We will become a constantly growing and maturing AB6IX! Please give ‘SALUTE’ lots of love!” Lee Dae Hwi commented, “Although there are many more restrictions now due to COVID-19, AB6IX will work hard to showcase our unique music so please give us lots of love and attention.”
