Super Junior Looks Back At The Past 15 Years Of Their Career + Shares Future Goals

On November 7, Super Junior held a special live broadcast on Naver V Live for the group’s 15th anniversary since their debut.

After watching a video of their career highlights, Leeteuk said, “Even though it’s been 15 years, the members are just as cool as ever.”

The members also read messages from the staff at Label SJ. One staff member suggested that Super Junior should hold a dinner concert 10 or 40 years in the future. The members said, “Some fans have asked us for a 19+ concert. Let’s gather all the fans who are of age and do it.” Leeteuk said, “Even if it takes more than 10 years and we’re gone from this earth, let’s do the ‘Super Show’ in heaven.”

Super Junior also shared messages of support for each other. Leeteuk said, “Ryeowook seems like he’s holding himself back because he’s surrounded by older members. It looks like he’s always nervous. But in real life, he’s a very funny guy.” But Yesung said, “When we did a sub-unit together, I was the one who was wary of Ryeowook. He wasn’t intimidated at all.”

Kyuhyun thanked Heechul for taking care of him after his major car accident in 2007. Leeteuk, Shindong, and Eunhyuk were also in the accident. Heechul was involved in a separate car accident in 2006, fracturing his leg. Kyuhyun said, “Heechul always says that we’re ‘car accident comrades’ and takes care of me and buys me good food.”

Eunhyuk also thanked Leeteuk for being a good leader, saying, “You worked hard in leading this chaotic and crazy Super Junior.”

About their 15th anniversary, Heechul said, “I can’t believe it’s already been 15 years. We all worked hard. We met when we were so young, and now we’re approaching our 40s. We’ve spent so much time together.”

Yesung said, “Did you believe that this day would become? We’ve walked a long way together.” Shindong said, “Now that we’re here, I can’t believe it. It’s thanks to E.L.F that we’re here. I’m so grateful. I’ve lived half my life as Super Junior.”

Eunhyuk said, “We were able to come this far because of the members, because of E.L.F, because of the many staff members at SM Entertainment and Label SJ.” Donghae said, “I’m grateful just to be with the members. It’s all thanks to E.L.F. I’m grateful for the agency staff who helped a 15-year-old become who he is today.” Choi Siwon said, “I think that it’s a great blessing. It was an honor to work with such great members and agency employees.”

Ryeowook said, “Thank you so much. I never imagined that we’d be celebrating our 15th anniversary. I’m so happy and it’s more meaningful because we get to spend this time with you.” Kyuhyun said, “On November 6, 2005, I didn’t know Super Junior yet. I didn’t know it would grow into such an amazing group.” He added as a joke, “I knew the group would do well when I joined.” Kyuhyun joined the group in 2006.

Leeteuk said, “If you combine Super Junior’s group, unit, and solo albums, it’s over 100. We’ve done 157 concerts in 27 cities around the world. They also say that we’ve also won a domestic or international award every year since our debut in 2006 to now in 2020.”
