Upcoming Mystery Drama "Awaken" Gives Closer Look At Character Ties With Relationship Chart

Upcoming mystery drama “Awaken” has shared its intriguing character chart!

tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Awaken” stars Namgoong Min, AOA’s Seolhyun, and Lee Chung Ah. The story follows the connections between mysterious events unfolding in the present and the secrets behind an enigmatic incident that took place in a village 28 years ago.

The first group of characters are from the special team of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. The team’s leader and senior policeman is Do Jung Woo, played by Namgoong Min. His team consists of his fellow inspectors Gong Hye Won (Seolhyun), Jang Ji Wan (Lee Shin Young), and Yoon Seok Pil (Choi Dae Chul). They are also joined by former FBI agent and current expert criminal profiler Jamie (Lee Chung Ah).

There is also an interesting relationship between Do Jung Woo, Gong Hye Won, and Jamie. While Gong Hye Won has feelings for Do Jung Woo, his feelings for her are not marked. At the same time, there is an unknown relationship between him and Jamie.

Characters at MODU include CEO Jang Yong Sik (Jang Hyuk Jin) and programmer Moon Jae Woong (Yoon Sun Woo).

The first three murder victims are also listed, including 19-year-old student Kim Young Joon, 54-year-old Park Gyu Tae, and 32-year-old Baek Seung Jae. The difference in their ages serves as a big mystery for the police team as they try to discover what the three victims have in common.

News program XVN’s “Lee Ji Wook’s News Zoom-In” also serves as a big barrier for the team. Lee Ji Wook (Yoon Kyung Ho) is an XVN reporter who clashes with Do Jung Woo as he engages the public in the murder case.

Additional characters at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency are deputy general manager Hwang Byung Chul (Kim Won Hae), information manager Lee Taek Jo (Baek Ji Won), and National Forensic Service (NFS) pathologist Min Yoo Ra (Kang Rae Yeon).
