January Variety Show Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for variety shows!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, interaction, media coverage, community awareness, and viewership indexes of 50 popular variety programs, using big data collected from December 3 to January 3.

TV Chosun’s trot audition program “Miss Trot 2” topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 18,799,904. High-ranking phrases in the show’s keyword analysis included “Jin Sun Mi,” “twist,” and “ratings,” while its highest-ranking related terms included “surpass,” “record,” and “challenge.” The program’s positivity-negativity analysis revealed a score of 89.66 percent positive reactions.

MBC’s “Home Alone” (“I Live Alone”) took second place in the rankings with a brand reputation index of 10,086,685, marking a 10.33 percent increase in its score since December.

Finally, JTBC’s “Sing Again” came in third place after seeing a 23.38 percent rise in its brand reputation index since last month. The show’s total index for January came out to 9,591,860.
