"The Penthouse" Ends 1st Season On A High Note With New Personal Best In Ratings
SBS’s “The Penthouse” has wrapped up its first season on a ratings high note!
According to Nielsen Korea, the drama’s season finale recorded average nationwide ratings of 23.6 and 28.8 percent. This is a significant jump up from the drama’s previous personal best of 24.0 percent.
At the time of its premiere in October 2020, “The Penthouse” started off strong for a Monday-Tuesday drama with ratings close to 10 percent. By December, the drama had proved its soaring popularity by breaking through the 20 percent mark. The season finale aired on January 5 and closed out the season on ratings close to 30 percent.
Meanwhile, KBS’s “Royal Secret Agent” also scored a personal best on January 5 with ratings of 4.9 and 6.5 percent. Its previous personal best was 6.1 percent.
On tvN, “Awaken” recorded ratings of 4.623 percent, similar to last episode. On JTBC, “Live On” did not air this week due to a special debate broadcast.
