Song Joong Ki Makes 100 Million Won Donation For Medical Staff At COVID-19 Screening Centers

Song Joong Ki made a generous donation to keep medical staff warm as they work hard in the battle against COVID-19.

According to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association on January 7, Song Joong Ki made a donation of 100 million won (approximately $91,400) to the association the day before, asking that it be used to provide cold weather gear for medical staff at COVID-19 screening centers.

It’s planned that the donation will contribute to providing gear such as hand warmers, heated vests, and large heaters for the medical staff at the outdoor centers during the severe cold weather.

Song Joong Ki also donated 100 million won to help the fight against the spread of COVID-19 last February, and he donated 50 million won (approximately $45,700) in August to aid those affected by Korea’s heavy rains and flooding.

It was recently announced that Song Joong Ki’s much-anticipated sci-fi blockbuster film “Space Sweepers” will be released in February.
