CNBLUE's Kang Min Hyuk And Jung In Sun Embody Adulthood In 1st Stills For "How To Be Thirty"

Upcoming Kakao M drama “How To Be Thirty” released its first set of stills of Jung In Sun and CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk!

“How To Be Thirty” is a relatable romance that deals with the work and love lives of three 30-year-old women. The drama follows the story that unfolds when webtoon author Seo Ji Won (Jung In Sun) meets her publisher Lee Seung Yoo (Kang Min Hyuk), who is also her first love from middle school.

The recently revealed sneak peek of the drama’s script reading hinted at the warm breeze of spring the drama will bring. The newly released stills only add to the anticipation of what kind of story will be told!

For one, Jung In Sun has transformed into Seo Ji Won, a well-known webtoon author with a bold, eccentric, and lovely charm. Her refreshing energy radiates through the photos, from being an author “in the zone” with work to being a mature professional in the office, and finally to dancing without a care in the world.

Seo Ji Won is 30 years old but still waiting for adulthood to load. Given how she became a successful author after going through a period of desperation as an aspiring writer, she knows how to put her foot down and be professional when it comes to work. But with her friends, she can’t hide her childlike and bubbly nature. The photos perfectly capture a woman who is certainly established but still sees room for growth and wavers when it comes to love. As she reunites with her first love at work, her work and love lives are about to go through a stage of maturation in a way everyone can relate to.

Lee Seung Yoo is the first role Kang Min Hyuk has taken on after being discharged from the military, but he does it so well that it’s hard to believe he ever took a break from acting. As a publisher, Lee Seung Yoo is a popular figure thanks to his tall height, well-rounded looks, and admirable work ability. Similar to Seo Ji Won’s case, the photos show the various sides of him. He has a stern face and gaze in one, but a mischievous look and gentle smile in the others.

Lee Seung Yoo is both Seo Ji Won’s first love from the past and a potential love interest in the present, and his unpredictable charms shake up Seo Ji Won’s heart. His pure smile, paired with an irresistible and mysterious charm, will pull in viewers who dream of romance at 30. Kang Min Hyuk is set to skillfully pull off the character and add to the chemistry with onscreen partner Jung In Sun, who happens to be his age.

“How To Be Thirty” will be directed by Oh Ki Hwan, who has portrayed the trendiest forms of love. 30 is an age at which your story resembles something in between a cold winter and warm spring, where you want to cool off but still remain hot. Oh Ki Hwan plans on interpreting this story in a sentimental manner to captivate the viewers.

“How To Be Thirty” will have a total of 15 episodes, each 20 minutes long. The drama will premiere on February 23 at 5 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
