SHINee's "Don't Call Me" Takes No. 1; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2021, March Week 1
SHINee’s new song “Don’t Call Me” debuted all the way at the top spot this week! This track showed strength on all chart sources and has also won four music shows so far. Congratulations to SHINee!
“Don’t Call Me” is the title track from SHINee’s seventh studio album of the same name. It is a hip hop dance song with intense 808 bass and synth sounds, and the lyrics express the emotions of someone who has been betrayed by love.
Re-entering the chart at No. 2 is BTS’s “Dynamite,” surpassing “Life Goes On” that was previously ranked high on the chart. This long-running international hit remains strong despite being released more than half a year ago.
Rounding out the top three is last week’s No. 1 song IU’s “Celebrity,” dropping two spots to No. 3.
There is one more song that newly entered the top 10. Moving up four spots to No. 9 is Kang Daniel’s latest single “PARANOIA.” Kang Daniel participated in writing the lyrics, which deal with the pain, conflict, and agony he has experienced in life.
