“The Penthouse 2” Continues To Dominate Weekend Ratings Battle + “Revolutionary Sisters” Premieres At No. 1 In Time Slot
KBS 2TV’s new drama “Revolutionary Sisters” is off to a strong start!
A unique blend of mystery thriller, romance, and comedy, “Revolutionary Sisters” tells the story of an entire family becoming murder suspects after the family’s mother is killed in the midst of her divorce proceedings. According to Nielsen Korea, viewership ratings for the March 13 premiere of the new drama soared past the 20 percent mark, with the first episode scoring average nationwide ratings of 20.3 percent and 23.5 percent for its two parts.
Notably, “Revolutionary Sisters” managed to earn higher viewership ratings for its premiere than those achieved by its predecessor “Homemade Love Story,” the drama that previously occupied its time slot.
Meanwhile, SBS’s hit drama “The Penthouse 2” remained as popular as ever. With average nationwide ratings of 19.9 percent and 24.8 percent for its latest episode, “The Penthouse 2” was the most-watched drama of Saturday night.
Over in the cable realm, JTBC’s “Beyond Evil” achieved its highest viewership ratings to date last night, scoring an average nationwide rating of 5.4 percent for its eighth episode.
tvN’s “Vincenzo” earned an average nationwide rating of 9.2 percent, while TV Chosun’s “Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)” scored an average rating of 8.4 percent for its penultimate episode. Finally, OCN’s “Times” trailed with an average nationwide rating of 1.5 percent for the night.
