EXID's Hani Talks About Turning 30, Studying Psychology, And What Role She Wants To Try

On April 5, EXID’s Hani appeared as a guest on KBS Joy’s “Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller” (also known as “Unpredictable Fortune Tellers”).

Hani said, “I’m lacking in so many things. There’s a lot of things I’m not good at, and I make a lot of mistakes. I wasn’t embarrassed about that until now, but after I turned 30 [Korean age], I started thinking about whether I should mature. In particular, there’s a lot of things I don’t know how to do in daily life. I’m not good with my hands and I can’t even do basic cooking. I didn’t realize how bad I was until I did a cooking TV show and I felt like I was being a burden.”

She added, “I did that show with Apink’s Jung Eun Ji. I’m the type that needs a lot of help, and Eun Ji took care of me. I felt apologetic toward her.”

Hani shared, “Recently I’ve been studying psychology through an academic credit bank system. I want to help out the juniors in the industry that I’m immersed in, but I wasn’t sure how I could help.”

Seo Jang Hoon advised her, “It seems like these days you’re sad and have a lot of thoughts, so it won’t have a positive effect when you’re counseling others. You have to find your own happiness and brightness. It seems like you’re interested in movies, so work on self-development. You can work out and become a Korean action star like Ha Ji Won.”

Hani said, “I like action. I also really want to play a mom. I feel like if I were to play a mother character, I would be able to experience a greater love than I have before.”

Seo Jang Hoon concluded, “Maturing is something that happens to you without realizing it. It’s not something that you can force.”
