Watch: Lee Je Hoon, Esom, Pyo Ye Jin, And More Pursue Their Own Version Of Justice In “Taxi Driver” Teaser
Upcoming SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Taxi Driver” released a thrilling new teaser!
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Taxi Driver” tells the story of a mysterious taxi service that delivers vengeance on behalf of victims who are unable to get justice through the law. Lee Je Hoon will star as Kim Do Gi, a former special forces officer who works as a driver for the service, while Esom will star as passionate prosecutor Kang Ha Na, who begins to grow suspicious of both Kim Do Gi and the unusual taxi service.
The teaser begins with Jang Sung Cheol (Kim Eui Sung) asking Kim Do Gi, “Do you know why your mother passed away? It’s this society’s fault for creating a monster like that with cheap apologies.” He explains, “I’ve planned this work for a long time. Won’t you take revenge with me?”
Along with the question, “Do you still trust in the justice of the police, prosecutors, and judges?” a criminal named Jo Do Chul is released from prison. However, after he gets on a mysterious taxi, his whereabouts become unknown. Later, on the site where a taxi was burned, Kang Ha Na comments, “It’s one of two possibilities. The taxi driver is on the same team as Jo Do Chul, or the taxi driver kidnapped Jo Do Chul.”
Ads for the Rainbow Taxi service team begin to appear in front of people who have lost all hope. A voice over states, “Thank you for calling Rainbow Taxi. Please choose if you would like to punish those who have tormented you.” A client asks, “Where are we going?” and Kim Do Gi responds, “To get revenge.”
Rainbow Taxi is introduced as a service that specializes in planning, disguise, infiltration, and punishment. Clips show Kim Do Gi and Ahn Go Eun (Pyo Ye Jin) disguising themselves as a teacher and student in their grand scheme to get revenge for a client.
Furthermore, a furious car chase ensues in which Kim Do Gi crashes into a police car, flipping it over. Kang Ha Na contemplates, “A mysterious taxi driver drove Jo Do Chul and crashed into a corrupt police officer.” Her coworker explains that the mysterious driver is like Batman, who only appears in front of bad people. Kang Ha Na continues to chase after the truth behind Rainbow Taxi, telling Kim Eui Sung, “Even if you hide it, I’ll find out everything.”
Baek Sung Mi (Cha Ji Yeon) also appears to be brewing up trouble behind the scenes as she approaches Kim Do Gi with an offer to work with her. In the background, Ahn Go Eun asks, “If we look away from these issues, who will resolve the resentment these people feel?” Kim Do Gi tells Kang Ha Na, “If people like you did their work properly, I wouldn’t have to be saying this here.”
