SHINee Reveals Upcoming Plans Including Solo Releases, Taemin's Solo Concert, And More

SHINee is preparing jam-packed activities following the release of their repackaged album “Atlantis”!

On April 13, SHINee held a V LIVE broadcast titled “SHINee’s Sailing: Finding ‘Atlantis'” in order to introduce their latest title track “Atlantis.” During the broadcast, SHINee shared behind-the-scenes stories of working on the album and gave spoilers for their upcoming promotions.

Onew revealed, “These days, I’m practicing for a musical. It’s been one month, but there’s so much I need to practice.” Taemin shared, “I got to sing the OST for the drama ‘Navillera.’ I’m itching to share because there’s a lot I’m preparing for these days.” Key commented, “I’m continuing to appear on ‘Amazing Saturday,’ and I’m starring in ‘Home Alone‘ (‘I Live Alone’).” Minho shared that he had recently appeared on KBS’s “The Return of Superman” to visit Na Eun, Gun Hoo, and Jin Woo. He shared, “You can’t not love Na Eun, Gun Hoo, and Jin Woo. They’re like Taemin.”

SHINee also talked about their upcoming plans for group and individual activities. Taemin revealed that in May, he will release a solo album, Minho will participate in filming for a drama, Onew will participate in a musical, and SHINee will hold a fan event to celebrate their debut anniversary.

Although Taemin knew the title of Onew’s upcoming musical “Midnight Sun,” he wasn’t familiar with the title of Minho’s drama. After Minho gave him a hint, Taemin guessed the title to be “Mom’s Sadness.” Laughing, Minho clarified that he would be appearing in the upcoming drama “Yumi’s Cells.” Taemin asked, “You’re playing a cell, right?”

After giving spoilers about his upcoming album, Taemin revealed that he’ll be holding a solo “Beyond LIVE” concert on May 2. Key commented that Taemin had released enough songs by now that it would be difficult to perform them all at his concert, and Taemin added that the set list was almost complete for the concert.

Furthermore, Taemin shared, “In July, there’s Key’s solo album.” He added, “Honestly, Key’s solo album should have already come out.” Key joked that it might be postponed to Christmas, but the current plan is to release the album in July. Taemin continued, “In July, there’s also my birthday, which everyone has been waiting for.” Key joked, “That’s why I’m going to have Taemin’s birthday as the concept [for my album], and Onew can celebrate my birthday in September.” The members elaborated that Onew is also planning on releasing a solo album in September. Taemin expressed his hopes for Onew to release a dance song for his upcoming solo album.
