Update: Girl's Day's Minah, Kwon Hwa Woon, And An Woo Yeon Confirmed To Lead New Romance Drama

“Please Check the Event” (literal translation) has confirmed another cast member!
On May 4, it was announced that An Woo Yeon will be starring in the upcoming MBC drama.
With Minah as Ha Song Yi and Kwon Hwa Woon as Park Do Kyum, who are ex-lovers pretending to be a couple again for a “couples trip,” An Woo Yeon will play their travel guide Seo Ji Kang. Seo Ji Kang is an essay writer who chooses to be a travel guide for couples in order to observe them for his writing. As he gradually develops feelings for Ha Song Yi, the three characters will portray an unpredictable love triangle.
An Woo Yeon has previously impressed in dramas such as “Five Enough,” “Don’t Dare to Dream,” “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” and “Let’s Eat 3.” Following his military discharge last year, he starred in “Mint Condition” and “Scripting Your Destiny,” and he is also set to star in the upcoming KakaoTV drama “Crazy Person in the Area” (literal translation).

Girl’s Day’s Minah and Kwon Hwa Woon are both confirmed to be starring in MBC’s four-episode drama “Please Check the Event” (literal translation).
Minah will play the quirky, energetic, and bold Ha Song Yi. She becomes a coordinator at a botanical garden due to her firm belief in her mother’s words that unlike humans, plants will never betray you. She is a lovely person who is true to her feelings. After she breaks up with her boyfriend, she slowly begins slipping in life.
Kwon Hwa Woon will take on the role of Park Do Kyum, the leader and vocalist of an indie band. Park Do Kyum looks prideful and irritable on the outside, but he is romantic in the truly important moments. He suddenly tells Ha Song Yi he wants to break up with her, but he also has difficulty with the breakup.
The producers of “Please Check the Event” commented, “With Minah and Kwon Hwa Woon finalized as the cast, the lineup for a refreshing romance is complete. Please look forward to the pair’s chemistry.”

On April 23, News1 reported that Minah and Kwon Hwa Woon had received casting offers for MBC’s new drama “Please Check the Event” (literal translation).
“Please Check the Event” is a travel-themed romance drama about two ex-lovers who become a fake couple to go on a “couples trip” together. Minah has been offered the role of Ha Song Yi, the coordinator at a botanical garden. Kwon Hwa Woon has been offered the role of Park Do Kyum, the leader and vocalist of an indie band.
Minah’s agency, Yooborn Company, stated, “Minah is currently reviewing the casting offer for ‘Please Check the Event.'” Kwon Hwa Woon’s agency, 935 Entertainment, stated, “He received the offer and is positively reviewing it.”
If she accepts the offer, this will be Minah’s first TV drama since “Absolute Boyfriend,” which last aired in July 2019. Kwon Hwa Woon recently appeared in the KBS drama “River Where the Moon Rises” and is also appearing in the tvN drama “Mouse.”
“Please Check the Event” is planned to air sometime in July or August.
