BLACKPINK Sets New Record As

BLACKPINK has just set another YouTube record with their music video for “Kill This Love”!

On May 22 at approximately 1:40 p.m. KST, BLACKPINK’s music video for their 2019 smash hit “Kill This Love” surpassed 1.3 billion views on YouTube. The song was originally released on April 5, 2019 at midnight KST, meaning that it took the video just over two years, one month, and 17 days to reach the milestone.

“Kill This Love” is now the fastest K-pop group music video ever to hit 1.3 billion views, breaking the previous record of two years, two months, and 21 days set by BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” which became the first K-pop group music video in YouTube history ever to achieve the feat last year.

Apart from “Kill This Love” and “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” the only other Korean music videos to have reached 1.3 billion views on YouTube to date are PSY’s “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman.”

Congratulations to BLACKPINK on making YouTube history!
