Watch: Song Kang And Han So Hee Introduce Their Characters In Script Reading For “Nevertheless”

JTBC has shared a behind-the-scenes clip of the script reading from their upcoming drama “Nevertheless”!

Based on a webtoon, “Nevertheless” is a realistic romance drama about a woman named Yoo Na Bi (Han So Hee), who wants to date but doesn’t believe in love, and a man named Park Jae Uhn (Song Kang), who thinks dating is a pain but likes to flirt.

The behind-the-scenes video starts with the precautions the drama took against the spread of COVID-19 at the script reading, which took place in person but with barriers and masks.

Introducing her character, Han So Hee shares that Yoo Na Bi doesn’t believe in love because of a traumatic family incident that she keeps hidden. However, she begins to change after she meets Park Jae Uhn. The script then previews realistic and fun dialogue such as, “I had my first racy dream… Why did it have to be Park Jae Uhn?”

Song Kang introduces his character as someone who is so handsome and good-looking that he makes everyone stop and stare when he passes by. He says, “He enjoys these advantages, but then he meets Yoo Na Bi and starts to change.”

Other characters include Yang Do Hyuk (Chae Jong Hyeop), Yoon Seol Ah (Lee Yul Eum), Nam Gyu Hyun (Kim Min Gwi), Oh Bit Na (Yang Hye Ji), Seo Ji Wan (Yoon Seo Ah), and Yoon Sol (Lee Ho Jung).

At the end of the reading, Song Kang says, “It’s been a long time since I worked with colleagues of the same age, so I had fun. I hope that we can have even more fun on set.” Han So Hee adds, “I hope that everyone will stay safe and healthy until the end of filming.”

In conclusion, Song Kang shares that he had initially felt pressured due to the popularity of the original webtoon, but his nerves had settled down after the reading. Han So Hee shares that she is a fan of the original webtoon and went into the reading with a lot of excitement and was happy to see how well everyone matched up with their characters.
