This is our announcement regarding VICTON’s Han Seung Woo’s mandatory military service.

Han Seung Woo applied for the military band and his application was recently approved by the Military Manpower Association. He will be enlisting on July 26.

Due to COVID-19 prevention guidelines, the location and time of his enlistment will be private, and there will be no special events. We ask for your understanding.

VICTON’s Han Seung Woo has announced his military enlistment to fans.

On June 3, Han Seung Woo held an Instagram Live broadcast in which he chatted with fans. During the broadcast, he shared that he will be enlisting this summer.

“The situation didn’t go as well as I wanted,” he said. “Going just by my age, I could push it back. But there were some things that were difficult to resolve, so now I’ve come to the end of the maximum time that I could push it back. I was supposed to go at the start of this month, but I applied to the military specialist division and was accepted, so I’ll be going in July.”

He continued, “I applied to something that I’m good at, and I’ll be able to spend a little more time with everyone. Since I have a little more than a month, about two months, I’ll also be able to release an album. I can share this gift before I go.”

In response, one fan commented, “We’re good at waiting,” and he replied, “I made you wait so many times before, so I know that you’re good at waiting. I wanted to stop making you wait, but I’m sorry.” In response to a fan commenting, “Stay healthy,” he said, “I will definitely stay healthy. I’m going to be even more healthy than I am now and work hard to adapt. I hope that all of you will also stay healthy, and no matter what difficulties come up in your lives, I hope that the things I’ve prepared can give you comfort. I’m always cheering you on in my heart, so please be happy.”

He concluded, “I feel a bit refreshed now that I’ve said it. It’s both a relief and a disappointment. I don’t know how many times I’ve said the same thing over and over, but I’m really grateful that you listened to me until the end.”

About his new album, Han Seung Woo said, “I put a lot of my heart into tracks one and five. I cried while writing lyrics, cried while recording the guide, cried while arranging the song, and cried while monitoring the recording.”

He added, “If I’d known it would be like this, I would have performed more concerts while I still had the chance. It hurts knowing that I’ve never been able to do a 20+ song concert.”

Han Seung Woo is preparing to make a solo comeback with the mini album “Fade” on June 28.
