MONSTA X Talks About Their Teamwork, Junior Girl Group They'd Like To Gift A Song To, And More

MONSTA X recently dished on their incredible teamwork and new album!

On the June 8 broadcast of MBC FM4U’s “Kim Shin Young’s Hope Song at Noon,” MONSTA X’s Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M appeared as guests to discuss their latest release “GAMBLER.”

As the group recently celebrated their sixth anniversary, host Kim Shin Young asked how long they’ve been together, including their trainee years. Minhyuk answered, “If we combine all the time we’ve been together, it’s 10 years. Our fans will know but none of us have sisters. That’s why we’re really like family.”

Kim Shin Young also requested that the group compliment one another, so Kihyun told Joohoney, “You write songs well and your dimple is pretty. You’re very good looking these days.” I.M grabbed Hyungwon’s hand and shared, “Do you have cold hands and feet? But your heart is warm. You have unlimited potential.”

Regarding their new album “One of a Kind,” Minhyuk commented, “The majority of our new songs are written by our members. Over 80 percent is self-composed, so I want to thank our agency staff for opening their minds.”

Kim Shin Young asked Joohoney whether he would gift her group Celeb Five a song and he responded, “If the opportunity arises, I want to try a Celeb Five song,” exciting the host.

Joohoney also revealed that he’d like to give a song to aespa, explaining, “‘Next Level‘ is hot right now. I tried to conceptualize and analyze the vibe. If they call me from SM, I’d go running any day.”

Lastly, the members shared, “We’ll work hard for these promotions. Please watch over us. Please also watch our music shows lots.”
