McDonald’s Sells Over 1.2 Million BTS Meals In Just Korea Alone
BTS’s first collaboration with McDonald’s was a massive success!
Last month, McDonald’s teamed up with BTS to launch the “BTS Meal,” which was designed according to the idols’ preferences and made available in 50 markets all over the world. Although the meal varied slightly in certain regions, it typically consisted of a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium French fries, and a medium drink, along with sweet chili and Cajun sauces.
On June 23, McDonald’s Korea officially announced that since the meal’s May 27 launch in South Korea, they had sold over 1.2 million BTS Meals—in just Korea alone.
Additionally, the popularity of the BTS Meal boosted overall sales of Chicken McNuggets within South Korea: during the period from May 27 to June 21, Chicken McNuggets sales jumped 250 percent from the four-week period that preceded the launch of the BTS Meal.
A spokesperson for McDonald’s Korea stated, “Ever since the launch of the BTS Meal, customers of all ages and genders have been enjoying it, and as a result, we’ve recorded a surprising number of sales.”
As the BTS Meal will be available until June 30 in South Korea, the company added, “As sales of the meal will continue for about a week, we expect that there will be even more customers looking for the meal in the days ahead.”
