Brave Girls Talks About How Girls' Generation's Taeyeon Cheered Them On Before Their Rise To Fame
Brave Girls’ Minyoung has shared a heartwarming story about Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon!
On the June 26 episode of tvN’s “Amazing Saturday,” Brave Girls’ Minyoung and Yujeong appeared together as guests.
At one point during the show, host Boom remarked, “I heard that one of the senior artists here today liked your song and cheered you on before Brave Girls rose to popularity because of [‘Rollin’‘] climbing back up the charts.”
Minyoung responded, “Yes, it’s Taeyeon. It was in 2016, [when we were promoting ‘Deepened,’] and our concept at the time was stretchy leggings. So I didn’t feel very confident, and I was embarrassed [about our outfits].”
“After we made our debut, we went to greet [Taeyeon] and give her our CD,” continued Minyoung. “And she told us that our outfits looked really cool and that our song was really good. She encouraged us a lot, and that gave us a lot of strength.”
Taeyeon recalled, “Watching them [back then] made me remember our own ‘Into the New World’ days. Seeing them wear sportswear as their concept and working hard on stage made me think of those days, and they looked really cool.”
Boom then asked Taeyeon how she felt when she saw Brave Girls’ song belatedly rise in popularity, and she replied, “I was so happy. I already liked them, so I thought, ‘Why did it take so long for people to notice them]?'”
After recently making their long-awaited comeback with their fifth mini album “Summer Queen” and its title track “Chi Mat Ba Ram,” Brave Girls is currently gearing up to release a brand-new music video for their B-side “Pool Party” (featuring DKB’s E-Chan).
