KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “Police University” shared a glimpse behind the drama’s script reading and filming!

“Police University” is a new Monday-Tuesday drama from KBS starring Krystal and Jinyoung as students at a police university. Cha Tae Hyun co-stars as a passionate detective who teaches at the university and teams up with his students for a chaotic investigation.

The video begins with Cha Tae Hyun having to introduce the drama to the viewers. He asks Jinyoung and Krystal next to him to do it instead, but they hilariously decline.

Cha Tae Hyun goes on to describe “Police University” as a campus drama combined with an investigation drama. “Compared to other investigation dramas, you can enjoy it and watch it more comfortably as it deals with one big case,” he explains. He also shares that the Police University had never been used as a drama setting before, which makes it something new to anticipate. Jinyoung adds, “Please look forward to seeing the way we learn from our seniors and grow.”

As Yoo Dong Man, a veteran detective who becomes a professor at the Police University, Cha Tae Hyun delivers his lines with passion and wit. The actor comments, “I think he’s the most intelligent character in my entire filmography, since he’s a professor.”

Jinyoung will play the genius hacker and brainiac student Kang Sun Ho. Jinyoung and Cha Tae Hyun exchange aggressive lines that depict the tension between their characters, but with Krystal’s character, Kang Sun Ho turns into a shy boy in love.

Describing her character Oh Kang Hee, Krystal shares, “Ever since she was little, she dreamed of becoming a police officer, so she works hard with that dream in her heart. Kang Hee takes interest in Sun Ho and finds her first love.” Krystal also describes Oh Kang Hee as someone who is “smart, holds no grudges, and says everything she wants to say.”

Hong Soo Hyun takes on the role of judo professor Choi Hee Soo, and the actress describes, “She’s a cool character, but she also has a sad air about her and seems to have a backstory.” Hong Soo Hyun also reveals that Choi Hee Soo is different from the characters she has played in the past and that she would like to approach viewers like a friendly older sister through this role.

Cha Tae Hyun emphasizes that the lines in the drama are very entertaining and that viewers can expect a drama with various different sides.
