Park Jin Young Shows Love For Kim Sejeong’s TWICE Cover + Kim Sejeong Responds

Kim Sejeong caught JYP Entertainment founder Park Jin Young’s eye with her recent cover of TWICE’s “Alcohol-Free“!

Last month, Kim Sejeong shared a stripped-down rearrangement of TWICE’s latest summer bop, and she mentioned that her good friend Jihyo had praised the cover after hearing it.

On July 16, two weeks after she first posted the cover, Park Jin Young—who wrote “Alcohol-Free”—personally commented on YouTube to show love for Kim Sejeong’s version of the song.

Park Jin Young wrote, “Wow, Sejeong, this is so good that I keep listening to it! The musicians who accompanied you are really good too, but you sang really well.”

Shortly afterwards, Kim Sejeong replied to the comment by writing, “Wow… I thought to myself, ‘It’d be funny if he posted a comment, haha,’ while imagining something similar, but… I can’t believe you actually did… I really love JYP songs, the JYP family, and Jihyo, haha.”

She added, “This is already my third time greeting you… I plan to post lots of covers of good songs in the future as well, so please keep making great songs. Yayyy.”

Kim Sejeong previously worked with Park Jin Young when he produced I.O.I’s hit song “Very Very Very” back in 2016.
