BTS Extends Own Record On Billboard's Artist 100 +

BTS had another amazing week on the Billboard charts!

As previously announced, BTS set an unusual record on Billboard’s Hot 100 for the week ending on July 31. After “Permission to Dance” made a historic debut by replacing “Butter” at No. 1 last week, “Butter” reclaimed the top spot this week—making BTS the first act in history to replace themselves at No. 1 with a new song, then send the previous No. 1 back to the top with no other artists in between.

In addition to topping the Hot 100 for an eighth non-consecutive week, “Butter” also reclaimed No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, with “Permission to Dance” following close behind at No. 2.

“Butter” continued its winning streak at the top of Billboard’s Songs of the Summer chart, marking its sixth consecutive week at No. 1, and it also rose to a new peak of No. 9 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart (which measures weekly plays on mainstream radio stations across the United States).

Additionally, BTS remained No. 1 on Billboard’s Artist 100 for their 18th non-consecutive week at the top of the chart, extending their own record as the group with the most weeks at No. 1.

“Permission to Dance,” which came in at No. 7 on this week’s Hot 100, also stayed strong at No. 2 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, No. 5 on the Global 200, and No. 41 on the Streaming Songs chart.

Meanwhile, “Butter” ranked No. 4 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, No. 6 on the Global 200, and No. 40 on the Streaming Songs chart.

Finally, BTS’s long-running 2020 hit “Dynamite” claimed No. 17 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 22 on the Global 200 this week.

Congratulations to BTS!
