Rookie girl group cignature has an official fan club name!

cignature is a seven-member girl group signed under J9 Entertainment, a subsidiary of C9 Entertainment. The girl group made their debut in February 2020 with “Nun Nu Nan Na.” The group recently added two new members, Chloe and Do Hee, after the departure of Ye Ah and Sunn in April.

On July 27, cignature announced via social media that the group’s fans would be known as “signfan.” cignature’s group name is based on the English word “signature,” which is usually simplified to “sign” in Korean. Therefore, the name “signfan” means “fans of the group will become the ‘sign/signature’ of the music industry.” It also sounds similar to the Korean word “sign pen,” which refers to markers that are used for signing paper or merchandise.

The members also took to Twitter to share their excitement for the new name in Korean and English.
