Sowon In Talks To Sign With IOK Company

Sowon may be joining a new agency!

On July 29, Newsen reported that Sowon will soon be signing an exclusive contract with IOK Company. The media outlet shared that although she hasn’t officially signed the paperwork yet, she has verbally agreed to join the agency.

In response to the reports, a representative of the agency stated, “We are discussing [the possibility of a contract] with a favorable outlook.”

IOK Company is currently home to many actors, like Go Hyun Jung, Jo In Sung, and Kim Ha Neul. Additionally, the agency houses a number of singers and comedians, including Jang Yoon Jung, former Secret member Hyosung, Lee Young Ja, and Kim Sook.

Sowon debuted as a member of GFRIEND in 2015. On May 18, GFRIEND parted ways with their agency Source Music after all of the members decided not to renew their contracts, and the members shared handwritten letters confirming that the group had disbanded.
