TV Schedule Changes During Final Week Of 2020 Summer Olympics

The 2020 Summer Olympics are coming to a close this week! Regular television programs are also in their final week of cancellations to accommodate for Olympics coverage and the attention that has shifted to the international event.

Here are some of the schedule changes this week:

Note that schedules are subject to change based on various factors such as game results. 

August 2

Weekday dramas “Be My Dream Family” on KBS1 and “Red Shoes” on KBS2 continue their long breaks, while “Amor Fati” on SBS begins its week-long break. SBS drama “Racket Boys” and KBS2 variety show “Paik Class” will also not air this week.

August 3

KBS1’s “Be My Dream Family,” KBS2’s “Red Shoes,” and SBS’s “Amor Fati” are once again off-air. MBC’s “At Work Today” is canceled for the second consecutive week, and SBS MTV’s “The Show” will air past highlights instead of a live broadcast.

August 4

MBC drama “On the Verge of Insanity” and SBS variety show “Shooting Stars” will not be airing for the second week, and KBS2’s “Red Shoes,” SBS’s “Amor Fati,” and MBC M’s “Show Champion” also continue their cancellations. MBC variety show “Radio Star” takes a break, while tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” will air highlights of past broadcasts instead of a new episode. August 4 is the final day off for KBS1’s “Be My Dream Family.”

August 5

MBC’s “On the Verge of Insanity,” KBS2’s “Red Shoes,” and SBS’s “Amor Fati” are once again not airing.

August 6

KBS2’s “Music Bank” and “Red Shoes” along with SBS’s “Amor Fati” continue their breaks with August 6 as their final day off.

August 7

MBC’s “Music Core” and “How Do You Play?” are off-air for the third and final week. KBS2’s “Immortal Songs” and “Revolutionary Sisters” may or may not air depending on game results.

August 8

SBS’s “Master in the House” will not be airing.
