MSG Wannabe (M.O.M), D.O., BTS, And Lim Young Woong Top Weekly Gaon Charts
On August 5, Gaon Chart revealed its chart rankings for the week of July 25 through 31.
Digital Charts
MSG Wannabe unit M.O.M’s “Foolish Love” from “How Do You Play?” topped the overall digital chart for the fifth consecutive week. Lee Mujin’s “Traffic Light” rose to No. 2, and AKMU’s “NAKKA” with IU made a strong debut at No. 3. aespa’s “Next Level” and BTS’s “Permission to Dance” round out the top five.
The top five of the streaming chart are similar to the overall digital chart with “Foolish Love” and “Traffic Light” in the top two spots. “Next Level” and “Permission to Dance” are No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, while BTS’s “Butter” maintains its spot at No. 5.
Trot star Lim Young Woong’s “Trust in me” topped the download chart for the second consecutive week. The rest of the top five is dominated by new releases with AKMU’s “NAKKA,” “Hey kid, Close your eyes,” and “Tictoc Tictoc Tictoc” at No. 2, No. 4, and No. 5, respectively, and D.O.’s “Rose” at No. 3.
Album Chart
D.O.’s new album “Empathy” entered at No. 1 on the album chart recording physical album shipments. Dreamcatcher’s “Summer Holiday” and DPR LIVE’s “IITE COOL” also made strong entries at No. 2 and No. 4, respectively. BTS’s “Butter” placed No. 3, and Taemin’s “Advice” re-entered the chart at No. 5.
Social Chart
BTS, BLACKPINK, and TWICE maintain the top three spots on Gaon’s Social Chart 2.0 this week. Trot singers Lim Young Woong and Kim Ho Joong switched rankings from last week with Lim Young Woong now at No. 4 and Kim Ho Joong at No. 5.
