Minah, Kwon Hwa Woon, And More Have Different Traveling Styles In "Check Out The Event"

Upcoming MBC drama “Check Out the Event” has released new stills of the cast!

“Check Out the Event” is a four-episode drama about two ex-lovers who win a couples trip in a lottery that they entered before breaking up. In order to go on the trip, they pretend to be a couple again and travel to Jeju Island together with several other couples.

Girl’s Day’s Minah stars as Ha Song Yi, a botanical garden coordinator, and Kwon Hwa Woon stars as her ex-boyfriend Park Do Kyum, the leader of an indie band. An Woo Yeon co-stars as Seo Ji Kang, the tour guide on the trip who develops feelings for Ha Song Yi. UP10TION’s Lee Jin Hyuk and Nam Kyu Hee, as well as Kim Young Sun and Kim Hee Chang, play other couples on the trip.

The new stills show the different traveling styles of the three couples. First off, Ha Song Yi and Park Do Kyum are wearing matching outfits. There is a physical distance between them though, and they are surrounded by a hint of awkwardness. However, the discomfort doesn’t last long, and they naturally take photos when they eat at a restaurant.

Other stills show Song Jong Ho (Lee Jin Hyuk) and Noh Hyo Jung (Nam Kyu Hee) always having their camera on hand. They make heart poses at a hot spot, and they record themselves while eating. On the other hand, Hyun Kyung Mi (Kim Young Sun) and Kang Jae Nam (Kim Hee Chang), the only married couple on the trip, depict sweet affection as they hold hands. Kang Jae Nam warmly tends to Hyun Kyung Mi’s needs, and Hyun Kyung Mi radiates with a joyful smile.

Then there’s Seo Ji Kang, who immediately stands out because he’s the only single person in this group. His lonely eyes and facial expression seem to foretell the extraordinary future of this trip that will be filled with exciting moments.

The drama’s production team shared that the viewers will be able to enjoy the drama more if they keep their eyes on the couples’ different reasons for going on this trip and thoughts during it as well as Seo Ji Kang’s emotional changes. They added, “We hope you enjoy the fun of seeing different styles of the three couples and the beautiful scenery of Jeju Island. Please give the drama a lot of attention.”

“Check Out the Event” premieres on August 14 at 9:50 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
