Apink's Agency Play M And THE BOYZ's Agency Cre.Ker Entertainment Announce Merger

Play M Entertainment and Cre.Ker Entertainment will be merging into one label!

Both agencies are currently subsidiaries of Kakao Entertainment, and on September 17, Kakao Entertainment officially announced a merger between the two labels.

Play M’s roster of artists includes Apink, VICTON, Weeekly, and Huh Gak, while Cre.Ker Entertainment is home to THE BOYZ.

According to Kakao, the boards of directors of the two companies convened separately and agreed to the merger, which is scheduled to take place before the end of the year. Play M Entertainment CEO Jang Hyun Jin and Cre.Ker Entertainment CEO Yoon Young Ro will be heading the newly merged company together. The name of the new agency and further details about the merger will be revealed at a later date.

Kakao Entertainment commented, “While independently reinforcing the core strengths of each label, we will also work closely with them to create a powerful integrated synergy and expand our influence across a wide variety of genres. We will continue to make these kinds of advancements in our multi-label system and bolster our competitiveness in the music industry.”
