TXT's Soobin & Oh My Girl's Arin Share Thoughts After Stepping Down As "Music Bank" MCs
TXT’s Soobin and Oh My Girl’s Arin shared their final thoughts following their last day as MCs on KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank”!
After hosting the weekly music show for over a year, the beloved “Akong” duo said their goodbyes on the October 1 broadcast of “Music Bank,” which marked their final episode as MCs.
On October 2, Arin took to Instagram to post two adorable photos she and Soobin snapped backstage—as well as the cute “Music Bank” trophy with her name on it that the production staff had prepared as a farewell gift.
Arin wrote in the caption, “Thank you for loving the Akong MCs for a year and two months, a time period that could be considered both short and long… I’m suddenly reminded of when we first began as Akong MCs… I was clumsy and lacking in many ways, but thank you for loving us. I had a lot of fun and was really happy during this time. Thank you.” To wrap up, she adorably added chick and bunny emojis representing her and Soobin.

Meanwhile, in a statement released through his agency Big Hit Music, Soobin remarked, “I was really happy during the time that I spent as a ‘Music Bank’ MC. I met many senior and junior artists close up, and it was a time during which I learned a lot and was able to grow.”
He continued, “I would like to sincerely thank the ‘Music Bank’ production team, who always greeted us warmly and took care of us, as well as each and every viewer who tuned in to watch us. From now on, I will always be cheering on ‘Music Bank’ as a viewer.”
During their time as MCs, Soobin and Arin particularly gained attention for their duet performance, including a joint rendition of Oh My Girl’s “Dolphin” that went viral last year.
Starting next week, ENHYPEN‘s Sunghoon and former IZ*ONE member Jang Won Young will be taking over as the show’s newest MCs.
