3 Reasons To Tune In To

tvN’s “Ghost Doctor” aims to become a special drama with its unique fantasy concept!

Helmed by “Heirs” director Boo Sung Chul, “Ghost Doctor” is a fantasy medical drama about two doctors who could not be more different in terms of their backgrounds, skills, or personalities, but who end up combining bodies and spirits.

Rain stars as genius thoracic surgeon Cha Young Min, and Kim Bum plays silver-spoon resident Go Seung Tak. Apink’s Son Naeun will play emergency room intern Oh Soo Jung, and Uee will play neurosurgeon Jang Se Jin, who happens to be Cha Young Min’s ex-girlfriend.

With a diverse blend of genres, “Ghost Doctor” will have something for everyone. Here are three reasons to look forward to the drama!

1. The insane chemistry between “golden hands” and “crappy hands”

Due to their many differences, viewers can look forward to the chemistry between Cha Young Min and Go Seung Tak as they are forced into each other’s lives. Cha Young Min is a genius surgeon with “golden hands” who seems to save all his patients with a single touch. On the other hand, Go Seung Tak is a silver-spoon resident who is otherwise not very talented. In addition to his “crappy hands,” he has an attitude, lacks manners, and can’t take a hint.

Because the characters are so different, it’s inevitable that they bicker nonstop, but once they start to get along, they will showcase a special kind of chemistry. The duo will also develop interesting relationships with Jang Se Jin and Oh Soo Jung, creating exciting dynamics within the hospital.

2. The intense lifestyles of doctors

“Ghost Doctor” depicts the intense story of doctors who deal with new patients each and every day and must endure both life and death on a regular basis. A new form of life that emerges from the hospital is the shared body and spirit between Cha Young Min and Go Seung Tak. Cha Young Min believes his skills are his greatest value, while Go Seung Tak has zero sense of responsibility as a doctor, raising questions as to how their united self will be able to function.

3. The introduction of a “coma ghost,” a soul that lies between life and death

Although the title “Ghost Doctor” is unique in and of itself, the drama will also introduce the concept of a “coma ghost,” a soul that lies between life and death. These ghosts will represent the souls of unconscious patients who have not yet passed away. They linger around their bodies in the hospital and each have their own unique stories, bringing laughs and touching emotions to viewers.

“Ghost Doctor” will premiere on January 3 at 10:30 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser for the drama here!
