Yoon Shi Yoon, Bae Da Bin, Choi Ye Bin, And More Cast In New KBS Drama

Yoon Shi Yoon, Bae Da Bin, Oh Min Seok, Shin Dong Mi, Seo Bum June, and Choi Ye Bin are cast in a new drama!

On December 31, KBS confirmed that the actors had been cast in their upcoming weekend drama “It’s Beautiful Now.”

Directed by Kim Sung Geun and written by Ha Myung Hee, “It’s Beautiful Now” is about the three Lee brothers, who grew old as part of a generation that avoids dating and marriage. In order to be the one who inherits their parents’ apartment, each of the brothers embark on a search to find a spouse.

Oh Min Seok has been cast as the oldest Lee brother, Yoon Shi Yoon as the middle Lee brother, and Seo Bum June as the youngest Lee brother. Shin Dong Mi has been cast as Oh Min Seok’s partner, Bae Da Bin as Yoon Shi Yoon’s partner, and Choi Ye Bin as Seo Bum June’s partner.

Yoon Shi Yoon’s character is the titular Lee Hyun Jae. Sandwiched between his older and younger brothers, he has a strong sense of survival. He transferred his skills at compromise and negotiation into becoming a glib-tongued lawyer with a gift for logic and a high success rate.

Bae Da Bin stars opposite him as Hyun Mi Rae, a personal shopper for VIPs. She hires him as her lawyer in a lawsuit she is filing to nullify her marriage, claiming that she is the victim of marriage fraud. Meeting as lawyer and client, the two of them learn each other’s embarrassing pasts.

Oh Min Seok’s character, Lee Yoon Jae, is a dentist. He is a gentle person, but he is so strict and precise with himself that within five years of his opening his own dental clinic, it is already getting great reviews for painless treatment and not overcharging its patients. Shin Dong Mi plays Shim Hae Joon, a lawyer and the head of a law firm, who falls head over heels for him. She visits the clinic after hearing of it from her junior partner, Lee Hyun Jae, but finds her lonely heart being moved instead.

Seo Bum June plays Lee Soo Jae, who is studying for the civil service examination. All his life, he has faced comparisons to his brothers in terms of grades, but his optimism and strong self-love has never failed. In order to make spending money, he works part-time as a delivery truck loader. Choi Ye Bin plays Na Yoo Na, his co-worker at the delivery truck service. She is saving money to pursue her dream of becoming a patissier, attending bakery school while juggling her part-time job.

Playing the older generation of Lees are Park In Hwan, who plays grandfather Lee Kyung Chul; Park Sang Won, who plays father Lee Min Ho; and Kim Hye Ok, who plays mother Han Kyung Ae. Apart from their youngest, who is still studying to become a civil servant, the elders are deeply concerned that their successful, talented, and handsome sons have not yet gotten married. The busybodies around them gossip, “What are they lacking that they can’t get married?”, which starts to bother them more and more. Finally, they set a big plan in motion, promising to give their cherished apartment to the one who can bring home a marriage partner within six months.

One common factor with the Lee brothers is that they are extremely competitive with each other and hate losing to the others. Although they’re not interested in marriage or particularly interested in the apartment, it becomes a race to see who can beat the others in getting married first.

This drama will air after “Young Lady and Gentleman” in 2022.
