Choi Ye Na has made her solo debut!

On January 17 at 6 p.m. KST, the former IZ*ONE member released her first solo mini album “ˣ‿ˣ (SMiLEY)” along with the music video for the title track.

The title track “SMILEY” expresses having a positive mindset even through difficult situations. Choi Ye Na participated in writing the lyrics along with BIBI, who also featured in the track, and producers TWLV and 72.

Former IZ*ONE member Choi Ye Na is finally gearing up for her solo debut!

In August 2021, Choi Ye Na’s agency, Yuehua Entertainment, said that they were in discussions for her solo debut but that nothing had been confirmed.

On January 2, 2022 at midnight KST, Choi Ye Na dropped a “coming soon” poster on her official social media accounts. The poster gives her debut date as January 17 at 6 p.m. KST.

Choi Ye Na will be the third member of IZ*ONE to make a solo debut, after Kwon Eun Bi in August 2021 and Jo Yu Ri in September 2021. Jang Won Young and An Yu Jin have joined Starship Entertainment’s new girl group IVE.
