aespa's "Dreams Come True" Rises To No.1; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2022, January Week 2
aespa’s remake of S.E.S’s “Dreams Come True” moves up four spots to become the new No. 1 song this week. Also part of SM Entertainment’s “2021 Winter SMTOWN : SMCU EXPRESS” album, the album’s strong sales along with aespa’s skyrocketing popularity bring this remake to the top spot on this week’s chart. Congratulations to aespa!
IVE’s “ELEVEN,” last week’s champion, moves down one spot to No. 2. Also down one spot to No. 3 is BTS’s “Butter.”
Only one song newly entered the top 10 this week. Moving up 34 spots to No. 5 is “Christmas Tree” by BTS’s V. This song is the fifth single from the OST of the SBS drama “Our Beloved Summer.” This drama placed four songs on our top 50 this week, with “Christmas Tree” leading the way. With mostly English lyrics, the song describes a man’s sincere feelings of love.
