Watch: Wanna One Shares Backstage Video Of Their Reunion At 2021 MAMA

Wanna One shared a special behind-the-scenes clip of what went on backstage at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (2021 MAMA)!

Wanna One was a project boy group that formed through “Produce 101 Season 2” in August 2017. The group promoted for about a year and a half before disbanding and the members went on to join groups at their agencies or debut as solo artists. For 2021 MAMA, the Wanna One members (except for Lai Kuanlin, who is now promoting in China) reunited for a stunning performance. Afterward, the group also released a new song.

In the backstage video, the members get along like old friends despite their long hiatus. The older members tease Park Woo Jin for saying that he liked hanging out with his hyungs, asking if he didn’t count Bae Jin Young and Lee Dae Hwi, who are younger than Park Woo Jin. Park Woo Jin films Hwang Minhyun while praising his good looks, and Lee Dae Hwi asks Kim Jae Hwan about whether it was hard returning as part of a team after promoting solo. Bae Jin Young talks about the group’s new song. In one interview, Minhyun notices that Kang Daniel, Park Woo Jin, and Kim Jae Hwan have ended up in the same frame as the “Kangaroo” team, and Kim Jae Hwan sings a snippet.

After the pre-recording is complete, the members gather backstage to talk about seeing their fans again in the audience. Ha Sung Woon praises Ong Seong Wu’s vocals and dance, which he hasn’t showcased for a while as he focuses on work as an actor.
