Update: Apink's Chorong, Yoon Bomi, Namjoo, Jung Eun Ji, And Hayoung Diagnosed With COVID-19

One day after Apink’s Jung Eun Ji and Hayoung were diagnosed with COVID-19, their bandmates Chorong, Yoon Bomi, and Namjoo have also tested positive for the virus.

On March 1, IST Entertainment announced the news in the following statement:

Hello. This is IST Entertainment.

We are informing you that Apink members Park Chorong, Yoon Bomi, and Kim Namjoo have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Yesterday (February 28), as soon as Jung Eun Ji’s and Oh Hayoung’s test results came back positive, Park Chorong, Yoon Bomi, and Kim Namjoo also immediately underwent PCR testing, and today (March 1), they were ultimately diagnosed with COVID-19.

At the moment, they have safely taken all measures in accordance with the guidelines of government health authorities, and though none of them have any particular symptoms, they are all resting in self-quarantine.

Apink concluded their special album promotions last week, and during their promotions, the members used self-test kits every morning to make sure they tested negative.

We will make an additional announcement in the future regarding Apink’s schedule as soon as it is set.

We apologize for giving many people cause for concern, and we will do our utmost to support our artists’ health and speedy recovery. Additionally, we will make adhering to and diligently complying with the requests and disease control guidelines of government health authorities our top priority.

On February 28, Apink’s agency IST Entertainment released the following statement:

Hello. This is IST Entertainment.

We are informing you regarding schedule adjustments after Apink members Jung Eun Ji and Oh Hayoung tested positive for COVID-19.

From the early morning of Feburary 27 (Sunday), Jung Eun Ji and Oh Hayoung felt unwell, so they carried out tests using self-testing kits. After checking they tested positive, they immediately carried out additional PCR tests and ultimately received positive test results today (February 28).

Afterwards, the two have safely taken the necessary measures in keeping with the guidelines set by government health authorities, and although they do not have any special symptoms, they are resting while in self-quarantine.

Apink wrapped up their promotions for their special album last week, and all the members checked they tested negative with self-testing kits every morning during their promotion period.

Immediately after Jung Eun Ji and Oh Hayoung were diagnosed on February 28, Park Chorong, Yoon Bomi, and Kim Namjoo carried out tests using self-testing kits, and they all checked they are negative. They currently have no symptoms, but they will do their best to continuously take care of their health and safety by preemptively going into self-quarantine and taking PCR tests while considering the incubation period.
