Watch: Ahn Hyo Seop, Kim Sejeong, Kim Min Kyu, And Seol In Ah Introduce Their Characters At 1st Filming For "A Business Proposal"

SBS has shared a making video from the first filming of “A Business Proposal”!

Based on a popular web novel adapted into a webtoon, “A Business Proposal” is a romantic comedy about an office employee who goes on a blind date with her company’s CEO in place of a friend while hiding her identity. Ahn Hyo Seop stars as chaebol heir Kang Tae Mu, who has everything from looks and brains to wealth and business savvy. Kim Sejeong stars as food researcher Shin Ha Ri, who stands in for her best friend and chaebol heiress Jin Young Seo (Seol In Ah) at a blind date with Kang Tae Mu. Kim Min Kyu stars as Cha Sung Hoon, chief secretary at Kang Tae Mu’s company.

At the start of the video, Ahn Hyo Seop introduces himself and his character Kang Tae Mu. He elaborates, “The character of Kang Tae Mu is very cold and arrogant. While he can appear impolite, he’s a reasonable third-generation chaebol who only says the right things. As he meets Ha Ri, he slowly loosens up, gets more comfortable, and becomes more down-to-earth.”

After introducing herself, Kim Sejeong shares, “Ha Ri is someone who radiates positive energy. Since her situation getting tangled with her CEO [Kang Tae Mu] is not normal, there are so many instances where I have to get angry. In those various situations of anger, I wanted to get mad in different ways without them overlapping, so I’m in the process of researching.”

Kim Sejeong adds, “[Ha Ri] is incredibly random and is a bit of a klutz. I think my image of resolving things in a simple-minded manner will be lovable, so please look forward to that.”

Kim Min Kyu shares, “My role of Cha Sung Hoon is a chief secretary who assists CEO Kang Tae Mu. His differentiation of business and pleasure is incredibly clear.” Regarding preparations for this character, Kim Min Kyu comments, “Sometimes in the drama, there are a few scenes where I’m exercising. I exercised very diligently for those [scenes].” Laughing, he added, “I exercised very diligently and I…exercised very diligently.”

To describe Jin Young Seo, Seol In Ah shares, “She’s very cool, loyal, and cannot stand unfair treatment. She’s a cute character who slips up sometimes because she’s too honest. As she’s really honest in the face of love, I think she’s very charming.”

Ahn Hyo Seop adds, “Min Kyu, Sejeong, In Ah, and Lee Deok Hwa all have such good personalities so the atmosphere was very friendly and I enjoyed it,” while Kim Sejeong asks viewers to look forward to her chemistry with Ahn Hyo Seop.

Seol In Ah shares, “While it will be fun to watch the chemistry between the couples, I think the fact that you can see a wide variety of chemistry, between Tae Mu and Sung Hoon, Young Seo and Ha Ri, and Tae Mu and chairman Kang, is a key point.”

At the end of the clip, the actors share how diligently they’ve been filming the drama and ask viewers for lots of love and attention.
